Tabby

Tabby appeared one day at our back door, seemingly out of nowhere, and instantly transformed our lives. Clearly she had a life before us, but she chose to stay and what a gift that turned out to be. With her unexpected arrival came years filled with fun, laughter, and an abundance of love. She had a way of turning ordinary days into adventures just by being herself.

She spent her days exploring, hunting, and delighting in the little things, especially the thrill of catching birds and mice and leaving her gifts at the door. Each one was a reminder of her mischievous spirit, her pride in her accomplishments, and her unique way of sharing joy with us.

Some might say she was spoiled, particularly by Dad, who set up a cozy bed with a heater in the shed just for her. Yet, any comfort she received was well earned. Tabby had a way of making every bit of pampering feel like part of her charm.

But beyond her antics and playful independence, Tabby brought comfort, warmth, and companionship. Her purrs, soft nudges, and presence made it home for her. She reminded us daily of the unexpected joys life can bring when we open our hearts.

Though she passed many years ago, the memory of Tabby’s lively spirit and the love she gave us continues to brighten our hearts. She arrived unannounced, stayed as a loyal friend, and left a legacy of laughter, mischief, and love that we will never forget.
